Exam Day Instruction

First part of the Jordanian board instructions.

1- Doctors must be present 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
2-The written exam will be conducted in Jordan University at Student.com lab next to the (Law faculty).
3-The written exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with one correct answer.
4&5-The written exam mainly consists of 100 questions for every specialty and it will be of two hours duration.
6-The exam will be corrected based on standards announced by the Jordanian Medical Council.
7-The General Secretariat of the Medical Council shall supervise the correction, analysis and extraction of examinations by computer, with the Chairman of the Scientific Committee and another member of the Scientific Committee.
8-The examined Doctor will pass the exam if he obtained 60%.
9-The specialized scientific committee will certify the results after being extracted from the computer, studied, checked and agreed on, before even knowing the names of the examiners. 
10-The names of Doctors who pass will be reviewed by the General Secretariat in the presence of the specialized scientific committee.
11-The results will be announced on the same day of the written exam on the Jordanian Medical website.

Second part of the Jordanian board instructions.

The second part of the Jordanian Medical Board exam consists of two sections the first one is written and the second is clinical and oral. The Doctor set for the written exam first on which the results will be announced by the same day and if he pass, he will be set for the clinical and oral exam which will be held two or three days after the written one.

Written Exam

1- Doctors must be present 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
2-The written exam will be conducted in Jordan University at Student.com lab next to the (Law faculty).
3-The written examination is conducted in the basic medical sciences related to specialization and the basic principles of clinical science in the field of specialization.    
4-The written exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with one correct answer.
5&6- Written examination questions should not be less than 100 questions per sheet of each specialty.
The written exam mainly consists of 100 questions for every specialty and it will be of two hours duration.
7-The exam will be corrected based on standards announced by the Jordanian Medical Council.
8-General Secretariat will monitor the exam correction with chief of the scientific committee along with another member.
9-The examined Doctor will pass the exam if he obtained 60%.
10-The specialized scientific committee will certify the results after being extracted from the computer, studied, checked and agreed on them, before even knowing the names of the examiners.
11-The names of Doctors who pass will be reviewed by the General Secretariat in the presence of the specialized scientific committee.
12-The results of the written exam will be announced on the Jordanian Medical website by the same day with time and place of the oral and clinical exam for the doctors who passed the written one.

Clinical and oral Exam


1- Doctors must be present 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
2-The clinical exam consists of three parts (Major, Minor and Oral).
3- The committees in the oral and clinical examination or the equivalent thereof shall be formed by the specialized scientific committees. These committees shall be legal after being submitted to the Graduate Studies Committee and approved by the Jordanian Medical Council.
4-Each committee will consist of three examiners to conduct the oral and clinical exam.
5- Set forms from the Jordanian medical council should be used and result will not be granted unless it is indicated on this forms
6-Each of the three examiners must put their mark on the set form.
7-Names and signatures of the three examiners must be clearly indicated on the form.
8-The three members must agree on the mark of the exam otherwise the average of the three marks will be considered in case of disagreement.
9-In case of failure of the examined doctor, reasons of failure must be indicated on the form after the agreement of the committee members.
10-Marks set by the examiners must not be changed after the completion of the clinical and oral exam, marks must be transferred to the final transcript without changes.
11-The examiner is considered to be successful if he receives a 60% in oral, short and long exam in the clinical and oral examination. The examination period and the examination sections shall be determined by the competent scientific committee.
12-It is prohibited for any applicant to enter after the distribution of the questions and the exit of any applicant before half an hour from the start of the exam
13-Objection on the results should be within a week.
14-Examination results will be submitted by the scientific committees after approving it by the chief and the members then submitted to the post graduate committee
15-The post graduate committee must study the results of the examination.  These results may be returned to the scientific committee in which case, reasons must be mentioned.

 

General Information


1-Exam of medical council is conducted twice a year during the month of February and august. And it will be closed three weeks before the examination and the number should not be less than three otherwise once a year.
2-The medical council examination is consist of two parts the first is written and second is oral and clinical.
3-If results approved of the post graduate committee, these results will be passed to the medical council with the applicable recommendation.
4-Info about the results of the exam must not be revealed by the scientific committee or the post graduate committee until approved by the medical council.
5-Results of the exam will be approved and revealed by the medical council within two weeks after submitted by the post graduate committee.
6-Decision of the council will be considered final regarding the examination results.
7-The results of the exam will be announced by the council.
8-These instructions will cancel all previous information.

 

Obtaining Exam Card

Each Doctor will be given a card at the entrance of the STUDENT.COM lab, which is in Jordan University next to the (Law faculty).
